So often I wonder why bad things happen to those who are faithful, or at least to those who do their best to be faithful. I remember crying out to God saying: "What did I ever do to You? I did nothing but love You. There is nothing else I wanted but to love you, how could You do this to me?" I realized that misfortune happen not because we are unfaithful or unworthy but it is for us to learn how to create. Any child of the Most High somewhere in their lifetime should learn how to create out of the ruins. Misfortune happen not to disappoint our faith or to make us regret that we were faithful, they happen to teach us that, anything can turn out into an enormous blessing - It just takes a little more trust, more push from our part, resourcefulness and sometimes, all it takes is for us to be still a little longer. In the same way as God hides Himself for us to enjoy the moment of finding Him (thanks, Mr.Tenney), He takes us into a higher level of hide-and-seek moment. It's a bit more complicated this time. It stretches our endurance, strengthens our capabilities and deepens our relationship with God. At the end of it, we not only find God but we find Him holding a gift that gives meaning to the whole mishap. No matter how good we are, or no matter how anointed we think we may be, a child remains a child and is subject to learning all through out his life and that's something we need humbly accept. It is the disciplined that enjoys freedom in the end, and it is the disciplined that can liberate captives. For this reason, God takes us into to the field of total discomfort where only those who humbly accept the season of God will withstand all odds.
p.s. Please pardon the picture, he's just so adorable. I couldn't help but share his cuteness. I hope he wasn't a distraction. :)
The song “Clenched Fist” by Sepultura says this: “Pain makes me stronger everyday Life is chaos; you better deal with it…”
Honestly, this is not about being masochistic where we should always seek pain in able for us to be strong. It’s not like that.
I redeem the line of the song for us to accept that life is hard. Everyday we face different problems and trials. We cannot escape to that fact. But the best thing here is God can make us strong whatever pain we are dealing with.
The problem sometimes is we do not believe in pain and suffering, we often pray for a problem-less life, instead of asking God for strength to cope with our everyday trials.
From pain, we are molded. Pain pushes us to work hard and do something to get rid of the situation. Once we realize that pain, suffering, depression is a part of our lives; that’s the opportunity to see that GOD is far bigger than every negative thing in this world, and that will makes us STRONG.
BE STRONG TO FACE EVERY PAIN. GOD IS OUR STRENGTH.
Listen and be blessed! GLORY IN HOPE Words and music: Ptr. Derrick Anselmo
I My Sovereign Lord, You who brought me out of darkness In my distress, you have been my help You lifted me up Took me from the pit I was in Placed me on a rock, I’m steadfast in you
Chorus For my God is the Lord and I will Glory in my Hope For His great love is unfailing His mercy never ends And I will rise like the dawn Declare the goodness He has shown through ages He has been faithful and I’m ever grateful to Him
II I can see clearly now, the scales have fallen from my own eyes Your plans and visions are true and I will trust in you Though the tree doesn’t bud, I will always lack for nothing Though the olive crop fails I will rejoice…
Bridge I have heard of your fame Stand in awe of your deeds And through all that I’ve been through You were God indeed!
Ending My Sovereign Lord, I will never cease to worship YOU…
Preparing yourself for a miracle means that you recognize your burdens as tools for God’s miracle work in your life.
I’ve noticed a platoon of ants moving along the sidewalk; they’re fascinating to watch. To most people ants are harmless little critters, but when your backyard doubles as a major army installation for then, you feel less kindly towards them. As my eyes followed the tiny troops, I couldn’t help but notice the last one struggling along the sidewalk with a long straw that must have been ten times the ant’s length and several times its weight. I closely watched as the ant approached a crevice- surely this guy is doomed; he’d fall into a crack and the straw will pin him in place and bury him alive. However, he took his unwieldy straw, laid it over the crevice, and walked across it to the other side. Then picked it up and kept going.
The ant used his burden as a tool to overcome a situation that could have been his downfall. His burden became a bridge to a miracle.
How many burdens are you carrying today that might be the keys to your success? What frustration plaguing you that could become a catalyst to a miracle?
Ask yourself, Can I turn this setback into a comeback? Once you’ve answered yes, you can expect your miracle.

Kudos to the CHOIR! They had their first street evangelism last November 11, 2007 in the busy sidewalk of Aurora Bldvd in Cubao, Quezon City. People had mixed reactions from enthusiasm to skepticism, nevertheless we are confident that "seeds" of God's love and truth were planted in the hearts of those who heard it. Calling cards bearing JOHIA's phone number for counseling were also given out to people. It was truly awesome to worship God in the streets and to bring His presence where it is truly needed! Thanks to Ptr. Rene, the Lovelies, the JOHIA knights, the AVIDS, and the JAMS for their presence and support. This is just a first step to harvest time!!! There wil be more to come.
